The Streetlight and The Supernova: A collection of poems by J.David
These are poems about pain, suffering, and darkness- my own struggles. Throughout my life I have been a very dark person, a very selfish person, even an evil person; I have struggled a lot- with the world, and with myself. But these are also poems of hope, poems of redemption, poems of healing, and poems about life. I write these poems no longer for me- I write these poems to show you that you are never truly alone, never truly lost, never truly irredeemable, and there is always a better day waiting ahead. Even more so, these are poems about love, whether it be the struggle of loving the world in its beauty, the struggle of loving a God you believe in, the struggle of loving others, or even the struggle of loving yourself. These are poems about finding the light in darkness, like streetlights- like supernovas, and all of the moments it took to get there.
